Balboa Del Mar Film Festival Film Festival Mission Statement
The Balboa Del Mar Film Festival seeks to support and promote emerging,
independent and non-dependent filmmakers for short subject films created with
little to no budget and to showcase student filmmakers of all ages. (Youth to Seniors.)
We wish to share original stories with the community and with
filmmakers who value the spirit of independent film.
What:
A "shorts" film festival (20 minutes or less), showcasing the talents of all ages and budgets. Encouraging (but NOT limited to) Animation, Documentary, Action and Fiction.
Where:
The Lido Theater in Newport Beach.
The Lido is an iconic Art Deco theater with a distinct Southern California flair built in 1939. Recently restored to it's original splendor, if you love art deco, coming to see the one of a kind tile murals is worth attending for that alone. The Balboa Del Mar Film Festival is honored to present this festival in such a beautiful and historic theater.
